Re-Elect Ray Estes to the Hingham School Committee

Ray and Cooper EstesI am thrilled to be running for re-election for a third term on the Hingham School Committee and honored to have the opportunity to continue to serve the community I love.  I am eager to continue ongoing efforts to sustain and improve the high quality of education that we value so greatly for our children.

I look forward to continuing to work with our other elected and appointed officials to achieve this goal in a thoughtful and fiscally responsible manner.

It’s amazing to me that it’s been six years since my first campaign–one that my family embraced and supported wholeheartedly.  All these years later, they still have the same enthusiasm as I wade into a third race, and I remain in awe of their love and support for my efforts to help make our schools the best they can be.  I keep the above photo on the site to remind me of how I got started down this road, with my family by my side.  Cooper, then age 7, was a trooper on Election Day 2010, holding signs with my old design at the polls all day.  One of my favorite photos is below with friends from 2013, with the Devine and Falvey families, holding signs at the transfer station, a Hingham rite of passage.  Former School Committee member, Bob Falvey, a Hingham treasure, honored my first campaign with his support and sage advice.  Some of my baseball players also joined the fun for my first re-election effort.  In this gem, Ryan Devine and the Rizzo brothers, Patrick and Michael, pitch in for the cause.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.

Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
